Returns & Refunds Policy
At Jihwa Beauty, we want you to love your skincare as much as we do. Because we're a small, founder-led business sourcing authentic Korean skincare directly, we ask that you read our return policy carefully before purchasing — but if something isn't right, we're here to help.
1. Our Promise
We hand-select every product for authenticity and quality. If you receive a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item, we will replace it or refund you in full — no questions asked.
2. Change-of-Mind Returns
In line with the South African Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return unopened, unused products within 7 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
To qualify for a change-of-mind return, the item must be:
- Unopened and unused, with all original seals and packaging intact
- In its original condition (not damaged, tested, or tampered with)
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
Because skincare is a hygiene product, we're unable to accept returns on any item that has been opened, used, or has a broken seal, unless the product is faulty or was sent to you in error. This is standard practice across the skincare industry and helps us protect the safety and authenticity of every product for all our customers.
3. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or isn't what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@jihwabeauty.co.za with:
- Your order number
- A photo of the item and packaging
- A short description of the issue
We'll sort out a replacement, exchange, or full refund as quickly as possible.
4. How to Start a Return
- Email us at info@jihwabeauty.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
- We'll confirm whether your item qualifies and send you return instructions.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging and send it to: will be supplied on conclusion.
- Once we've received and inspected the item, we'll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Please don't send items back without contacting us first — returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
5. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll email you to confirm we've received it and let you know whether your refund is approved.
- Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 working days back to your original payment method.
- Please note it can take your bank or card provider a few additional days to reflect the refund.
- Original delivery fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error (damaged, faulty, or incorrect item).
6. Exchanges
Want a different product instead of a refund? Let us know in your return request and we'll happily arrange an exchange, subject to stock availability. If there's a price difference, we'll send you a payment link or refund the difference.
7. Return Shipping Costs
- Our error (damaged, faulty, or incorrect item): we cover the return shipping cost.
- Change of mind: the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.
8. Sale & Promotional Items
We will not accept any returns.
